Join as an individual looking for a team, or form your own team if you have enough players.
Format: 7v7 co-ed, medium size goals, either one 60-minute game, or three 20-minute games.

Welcome to Olean Adult Soccer League!
We play pickup soccer throughout the year in/near Olean NY, and have a league when there are enough players, typically with Saturday morning 7v7 league games. Co-Ed, all skill levels are welcome, Recreational and Competetive levels, number of players varies by season and year.

Pickup Games We play pickup games throughout the year whenever weather is soccer-good and fields are playable.
Usually Saturday 9am and either Wed or Thu 5:30pm/6:00pm
Locations: Polo Park, Rise Academy, Allegany-Limestone High School
Please join our list to get updates on last-minute field changes, and to RSVP to pickup games. Levels of Play: Recreational: For fun and to stay in shape, beginners are welcome.
Competitive: Faster and/or more skilled, still keeping it safe and not aggressive. Ages: 16+ Younger players with parent's consent, parents should attend first few games.
We have 60 year old players as well. Cost: Pickup games are free. League seasons sometimes have a fee.
Location/Areas: We have players from Olean and neighboring areas, including Allegany, Portville, Hinsdale, Cuba, Bradford, and sometimes even Coudersport!
All Fitness Levels: If you haven't played in a while or are out of shape, start out playing more gently, take more breaks if you need to, and pace yourself. You'll get in better shape as you play more!

Olean 1854FC Mens competitive, plays in the Buffalo District Soccer League (BDSL)
Weekend games with half the games played in Buffalo and half in Olean. Must be in good physical condition to play! Some years they have tryouts, and sometimes they have too many players for tryouts. Since there are more players that want to play at this level, there's a possibility they may start another team that will play in BDSL.
Jamestown has pickup and league soccer
Coudersport has pickup games when the weather allows it

About Us

We play pickup soccer throughout the year in/near Olean NY, and have a league when there are enough players, typically with Saturday morning 7v7 league games.
Co-Ed, all skill levels are welcome, Recreational and Competetive levels, number of players varies by season and year.

We started in 2020 when there was no local recreational soccer available for adults in the Olean area, and the only options were to play in Buffalo or Jamestown, at least an hour drive each way.

Soccer Coaches and Parents

Coaches, come play with us! If you’re coaching and are not playing soccer or have never played soccer, you are not coaching from real experience. When you play soccer regularly, your coaching will improve significantly. We can almost guarantee it!!!

You may bring a few players (preferably ages 16+). If each coach brings a few players, can play 2 games, one with adults, and one with kids, an adult or two can play in the kids game if it will help Parents (of soccer players) who would also like to play

Younger players

For players younger than 16, come with your kids and see the game, and if you feel it’s safe enough, you can let them play. They (and you) are ultimately responsible for their own safety.

Our code of conduct (link) emphasizes safety and fun over winning. We often don’t even keep score, so you can make mistakes, try new things, and not feel you’ve cost the game, and learn to play for fun.

2024 Summer League

7v7 Co-Ed using 12x6 goals, Saturday morning games, with several weekend round-robbin tournaments, and 4 teams:

Woodpeckers FC (Red)

The League finished in late August as many players returned to college, and we resumed the Saturday morning pickup games with the remaining players.
